I'm back, FINALLY

Months of frustration, heartache, and parents' stupid rantings later, I am finally back from my forced seclusion, victorious with wonderful Internet again! ^o^

I'll be spending the next few days trying to update myself on pretty much everything that I left to shit when I had to sign off. Hello again to everyone that I've missed. I hope you didn't die on me. DX

"not you", think, I

I'm still alive...

Really, I am! I just haven't gotten around to updating this thing for awhile.

Basically, my sisters and I are having a happy time in our apartment (albeit very difficult and busy), and we're inviting our friends left and right. If you live around the neighborhood, or can at least make the drive, you are more than welcome to come by and visit. Just let me know if you're interested. :3

I'll put up pictures when I get the chance.

Another much needed update

Ok, so I'm way past overdue for an update on my happenings. Rather than bore you guys with a lot of details, I'll just give the headlines in a nice bulleted list for you to enjoy. If you want to learn more, feel free to comment with your questions.

And now onto the list!

  • Towards the end of July, my sisters and I were kicked out of the house. Mom went berzerk for stupid reason (as usual)
  • Staying with a friend in Spanaway as of right now. Jessica was able to come back home in early August because mom said she could, but not Jenelee and me. See what stupidity I have to deal with? >.<
  • Bought a brand spanking new laptop from Best Buy. I luffs it. <3
  • Bought wireless card for said laptop so I don't have to spend my days in a coffee shop using their WI-FI.
  • Went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Talledega Nights with siblings and/or friends. Both were good, and I have since been quoting Ricky Bobby every chance I get.
  • Have been working at pool for so many freakin' hours now. I'm glad I'm getting money, but geez. @_@
  • A soldier is currently stalking me at the pool and he wants my phone number. He's ok looking, but he's 26 and let's just say he doesn't devote a lot of time into intelligent conversations. Eww.
  • Bought a laptop cooling fan from co-worker, and I luffs it. <3 <3
  • Got a mani and pedi, and currently have bright blue toenails and fingernails tipped in blue with lotus flowers. :3
  • THIS close to getting an apartment finally! YES!

And yes boys, I'm still single and looking. ^_~

A quick update

Just a quick update on my happenings, basically explaining why I've been MIA for so long.

In a fit on insanity, my "lovely" mother decided to cancel both my cell phone (along with my sisters', since we were on a family plan), and the Internet on the family computer. So for a little bit I was phone-less and Internet-less. Very frustrating to say the least. And her reason was because she didn't feel like helping pay for both anymore. Eh her fault. She can deal with the $525 cancelling fee she has to pay for copping out on the 2 year plan.

To counter her terrorism, I went and bought new phones and a new plan for sisters and me. A great idea considering our new phones are so much better than our previous phones. Plus I upped the number of minutes in hopes of keeping my siblings from going over our allowance, and thus creating a huge ass bill every month. So far so good.

As for the Internet situation, I'm still working on it. Nothing permanent thus far, but I went and bought myself a new laptop in order to utilize the built-in wireless at random coffee shops. Will probably buy a wireless card from Verizon so I don't have to stay in Starbucks all freakin' day. As for my sisters, they don't use the Internet that much besides Myspace and email, so I think they're handling it much better than me.

My mother claims she'll give us back the Internet when she finds a decent apartment for us to move into. Yes, not only has she decided to take over the apartment searching, she also wants to LIVE with us. She also claims that this will only be temporary until she sells our house, but she still hasn't even put it up for sale yet. Still trying to figure out what the hold-up is. My youngest sister thinks she's getting the whole "empty nest syndrome" thing, and I'm starting to agree.

And of course, in the midst of all this, my managers decide to be bitches and cut everyone's hours due to budget problems at Ft. Lewis. Fucking yay.

Not sure when I'll be online next, but I'll try to update everyone as much as I can.

Crude and Raunchy, I'll take

I don't know why, but I always get in a horrible mood when I get treated like shit at work, either by a patron, one of my mangers, or both. I'm so tempted to lash back like the closet bitch I'm am, but I hardly have the guts to. Plus I kinda don't want to get fired. >.> So as an alternative, I listen to music that's absolutely crude, raunchy, and in some cases downright nasty. Hence why I like to listen to rap in such circumstances.

Yep, my answer to anger management is listening to rhyming lyrics angrily spat out by "gangsters" that reference drugs, guns, violence, and degrading women in numerous fashions. Somehow the energy created by those baggy-clothed grill-gleaming "musicians" counteracts my angry energy and upon listening I calm down and forget about everything temporarily. The most fucked up therapy known to man, but hey it works for me.

Don't know what I'm talking about? Maybe some samples will help you figure out what the hell I listen to. Don't I just seem just a little bit stranger now?

...Blah. (an update)

Work sucks. Getting more hours and more money, but it sucks so much free time and energy from me. I'm basically working part-time for temporary/flexible pay (which is crappy pay). This is my first time on the computer in a week. >.< Let's hope the hiring freeze will be lifted and the pool hires more guards so I can leave finally.

Fourth of July was fun, got to see the fireworks after work with my sisters and their friend.

Also went to a club Friday night with said sisters and their friends. Was a lot more fun then I expected. It was my first time wearing a "club" outfit that was sibling approved: basically it was a strapless top with matching sandals. Didn't get home until 4AM this morning, so I'm still tired.

Speaking of which, I should just take a nap.

Youtube (also Internet?) Rights

LOVE this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atCF5kyR6J4&search=Youtube%20rights

You signed your "rights" away by agreeing to the User Agreement, TOS, or whatever the web site makes you sign in order to use their products and/or services. Tough luck if they do something that you feel violates your constitutional rights. Also, Internet =/= United States, so the Constitution point is pretty much moot.

Being a moderator has made me so very mean. ;_;

"not you", think, I

This month in history....

Ok, so it's been quite awhile since my last entry, so I feel that it's high time to give an update on my happenings. It's the least I can do for those who actually read this crappy thing regularly. To my regulars, I say thank you, and remind you to take your medications next time.

Anyways, the rundown:

* Went to a graduation party cruise on June 3rd with a few classmates and other students. Left Brown's Point and passed Point Defiance, Gig Harbor, and went underneath the Narrows Bridge and back. Lots of fun! There was food, dancing, and drinking galore. I just drank soda the whole time for fear of doing something stupid and going overboard. Two girls threw up over the boat and I got felt up by two different guys. Best party evar! :D

 * Went to my sisters' high school graduation the day before. The stadium was overcrowded, and my parents and I were forced to stand up the whole time. Lazy bums, they decided to leave only 10 minutes early, not anticipating the problems with parking! PARKING TROUBLE AT A BIG EVENT? WHAT A SURPRISE! >.<

As for future things, here's what's lined up so far:

* Going to a concert with youngest sister tomorrow. Starts 5PM and its at the KeyArena up in Seattle. Other sister didn't want to go because she thinks the line-up sucks. Plus there was only two tickets. Hopefully it'll be fun, and we won't go to another crappy restaurant whose food gave you diarreha the next day. O.o

* Won several coupons to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. More specifically, I have to pick up ten 2-for-1 coupons at the radio station's HQ within the next month, else they go bye bye. Already have Mapquest directions, just need to figure out a good day to go up to Seattle.

* AND MORE TO COME! XD

Username Meme

I've been tagged by [info]noodlefan, oh noes! :O My apologies for not getting to this sooner.

Explain your LiveJournal name and its meaning. When you're done, tag as many people as there are letters in your name. If you don't fancy doing the meme properly, you can always tell me in the comments - I'm curious.

My username is the name of the main character of a semi-autobiographical novel type thing that I was planning to write a few years ago, but never got around to (and probably never will at the rate I'm going). The name of the character was Ann of Leschi, Ann being my middle name, and Leschi being the place where this character lived. No, I don't actually live in a town called Leschi, but it's the name of a popular past chief on an Indian tribe here in Washington, so I thought I would add it in for kicks.

Again, the story was to be semi-autobiographical, and was going to talk about how Ann runs away from Leschi with some of her friends (based off of some of my friends) in order to keep herself from being corrupted and negatively influenced by her power-hungry mother.

At the time I came up with the premise, I was in a phase where my mother was stressing me so much that I considered suicide. I never really forgave her for that, especially since she blames me for feeling the way I did. >.>

There was going to be adventures, romance, drama, and all of that good stuff. It was going to a medieval/fantasy-type story, where all the characters would have some sort special power, and the setting was in villages and woods, think LOTR. Though I'll probably never write the story down on paper, the character holds dear to my heart, since she's based off of me and also has qualities that I strive to have. Plus the name sounds really cool. XDD

BEP = <3, part II

Gah, work is killing me. Making me take so freakin' long to update. ;_;

Anyways, a brief rundown of what happened that fateful day:

  • Got home from school around 2:30PM, left home with sisters at 3:30PM
  • Picked up Trinidad boy five minutes later, then headed towards the concert!
  • Got to Everett at around 5:30PM
  • Parked and stopped at nearby Chinese place for dinner (food sucked, service sucked, and I was sick for the next two days >.<)
  • Got to our seats at around 6:30PM
  • Concert started at around 7:30PM with opening act, Flipsyde (http://www.flipsyde.com/). Not too bad, adding website for later reference
  • Next act performed, the Pussycat Dolls. They were good, but I really could care less for them :P
  • Main act performed, the Black-Eyed Peas. FREAKIN AWESOME. My youngest sister apparently shared a "moment" with will.i.am that made her almost crap her pants.
  • Left Everett at around midnight, stopped by a Jack-in-the-Box midway to pick up drinks. Drive-thru boy was a complete idiot! Screwed up our order and almost forgot to deliver half of it.
  • Dropped off Trinidad boy and got home at around 1:30AM. Fell asleep right after that.

Yeah, it was a good day after all :3

BEP == < 3

So I went to the Black Eyed Peas concert last night with my two sisters and their friend from Trinidad. Unlike those crazy three in the backseat that were screaming the whole entire ride down and back (@_@), I was a little apprehensive at first about the whole thing.

For one thing, my going to the concert was last minute. Apparently Trinidad boy had two tickets, and was originally going to go with a date. But the date backed out at the last minute, leaving an extra ticket to fill. Sister asked me to tag along, I said yes, and the deal was done. Plus my mom was more comfortable knowing that I would be driving, so I had her "blessing" to go.

The main thing for me though was I was worried that I would be an oddball in the crowd. My assumption was that the stadium would be filled with a bunch of pre/pubescent screaming teenagers plus chaperones screaming their heads off, and that I would be the only one sitting down and trying to keep my eardrums from bleeding.

Reality: There were people sitting down, but I wasn't one of them. In fact, I was jumping and screaming alongside everyone else. Quite surprising if you know me. And I had fun doing it too. Rundown of whole thing later when I have more time. ~~T.H.

OMG there is a God!

Yes, there is a God! There will always be a God!!

If having the due date of a major assignment delayed until next week and an 88% on the midterm not enough proof that God exists, I don't know what is. And I didn't even pray for either of them, which makes it even more awesome. ;_;

Top news stories of my life...

...aaaaannnnnd GO!

No high school diploma = no parent co-signing, claims state
So my hopes and dreams of moving out into an apartment immediately came crashing down. Apparently a state law says that a person cannot co-sign for an apartment with a child that hasn't graduated from high school yet. Or doesn't have a diploma, or something like that. Basically, since my sisters are still attending high school, my parents can't co-sign for us. Damn you state laws, damn you.

2 out of 2 software developers agree that Lakewood SUCKS ASS.
So this morning in my internship, I was able to meet with a guy named Paul, the most computer-science oriented person in WorkSource (at least the part of WorkSource that's on 38th and Cedar Street, hint hint to those people who live nearby that want to visit me...).

Go to page A2 )

SevenTen no longer wants to play MapleStory?!? GASP! :o
So I'm considering dropping MapleStory. Sure it has its perks, but the fact that the player base consists of mostly 13-15 year olds that butcher the English language and have no concept of gaming ettiquette really bothers me to the point that I don't regret not logging on and missing the Easter event.

Go to page A3 )

Sisters keep winnings concert tickets from radio station, older sister pissed
I hate my sisters. They have all the luck, and are able to call the station when you're supposed to constantly to win prizes. So far they've won this American Idol karaoke set (which personally I don't really consider a prize as much as a half-way decent paperweight/doorstop, concert tickets to see the Black Eyed Peas on May 13th, and concert tickets to a concert known as BFD (Big Freakin' Deal). I WANT MY GLORY! Someday...

In other news, I'm STILL hot for teacher
If your name's Rachael, you should probably get the meaning )
